Dear Kieron Gillen,

You’re emotionally scarring us, so here is your face on Karen Gillans body.

I feel like it’s appropriate retaliation.

hey hey hey, why do *I* get tagged in this

Once again I’m reminded of the WARREN ELLIS BEXTOR mash up I did back in the day.

Wh…What the hell am I looking at? *blinks*

This is genuinely scary.

With the Rian Hughes curated Image Duplicator exhibition http://www.orbitalcomics.com/events/ launching at Orbital Comics today it’s worth reminding all you Philistine moaners that Roy Lichtenstein was a FINE ARTIST and the comics he appropriated were the work of hacks producing disposable commercial trash. Got that? Meanwhile you can support the memory and legacy of Roy Lichtenstein by taking home lots and lots of lovely FINE ART products from Tate Modern.

Take note! If you’re thinking of ‘appropriating’ any Roy Lichtenstein art as some kind of statement, this is from the Lichtenstein Foundation web site: “Images of any work of visual art that are contained in this web site may not be reproduced, downloaded or modified in any form without the express written permission of the Estate of Roy Lichtenstein.” And quite right too. The very idea!

I bought this at the Bristol Comic Expo this weekend. I couldn’t resist those creases. It actually looks like those fake ‘aged’ comic prints but the creases are real. Love it.
